Samuel Robinson Squamish,BC Obituary :In Loving Memory Of Samuel Robinson
Samuel William Robinson left this world suddenly on March 6, 2026, in Pattaya, Thailand. Born in Calgary on December 14, 1991, he was 34.
Sam was a force of nature, a self-described “wild child” who ran toward danger—whether in sports, work, or leaping to a friend’s aid. He grew up between Golden, Calgary, North Vancouver, and finally Squamish, attending numerous schools and famously claiming he graduated high school without ever reading a book.
His short life was packed with remarkable achievement. A gifted, intense athlete, he excelled at soccer, rugby, climbing, MMA, and more. Defying academic antipathy, he earned his helicopter licence, paramedic certification, bought his first condo in his early twenties, became a skilled renovator, and was a respected, beloved rigging grip and stuntman in the film industry.

He leaves a vast community who loved him: countless friends, including best friend Matt; his extended family of cousins, aunts, and uncles; step-brother Aidan; sister Jen; stepfather Dan; father Ward; and his mother, Jan. He was predeceased by his grandparents, cousin William, and beloved dog, Neptune.
Sam faced dark, turbulent times, especially after losing Neptune, but he loved and lived with profound depth and loyalty. He was a kind friend, brother, and forever our beloved son.
A gathering in his memory will be held on April 12, 2026, from 4-7 pm at the Brackendale Art Gallery in Squamish, BC.
